The Canadian International School, (Singapore) is accredited by
the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), inspected annually
by the Ministry of Education, Ontario, Canada and is registered
with the Ministry of Education, Singapore. CIS operates two campuses
in the Bukit Timah area. The Elementary School Campus (pre-school
to grade 5) is located at 5 Toh Tuck Road, and the Middle School
and Secondary School Campus are located at 71 Bukit Tinggi Road.
The student body of 1,100 students is drawn from over fifty countries
and is well served by highly trained teachers who deliver a comprehensive
and challenging curriculum. Mandarin and French instruction are
the secondary languages offered at the school and French Immersion
is an option at primary level. All students in grades one to eight
participate in the Open Minds Programme that moves students from
the traditional classroom to a real-world setting.
Secondary school of Canadian International School, Singapore students
work within a wireless laptop learning environment and every Wednesday
afternoon engage in activities outside the scope of the traditional
classroom.
