Tanglin Trust School
Tanglin Trust School caters for the educational needs of British
and other English-speaking expatriate children (ages 3 up) in Singapore.
It is operated by Tanglin Trust Limited, a non-profit making educational
foundation of charitable status.
Tanglin Trust School is set in a mature landscaped estate in an
urban district in the west of the city of Singapore, and is equipped
with modern purpose-designed facilities.
The recent extension of the age range into Nursery (three year
olds) and Seniors (Year 7 to Year 13) has been made on the basis
of building on a foundation of excellent achievements since the
school's establishment in 1925.
Although Tanglin Trust School is the largest of its kind in Asia,
great emphasis is placed on the pastoral well-being of the individual
student. Opportunities are given for students to excel in academic
and sporting areas as well as the arts. As students progress through
the school, enhancements to the curriculum include overseas field
study trips and performances in music and drama. Tanglin students
are exposed to a broad and balanced curriculum based on the key
stages of England's National Curriculum leading to GCSE and 'A'
level examinations.
